Cách đây 40 năm

40 years ago, in summer 1978, I left Budapest, Hungary, as a math graduate from the Őtvös Loránd University of Budapest, and returned home to Hanoi, Vietnam. Since then I was able to return to my alma mater only once, in summer 2008, where I attended the 30-year anniversary with more than 60 classmates and three professors from the Mathematical Department. This year, for family reasons, I missed the 40-year anniversary party in Budapest, organized by fellow classmates on August 4, 2018.
The attached clips are part of my personal and post-retirement “Nostalgia” project where I try, through the Hungarian folk songs and old pop songs of the 60-70’s, to bring forth the old memories of my years in Hungary (1972-1978). I hope my friends, especially those from my Hungarian years, would recognize and enjoy some. Thank you.

40 năm trước, vào mùa hè năm 1978, tôi rời Budapest, Hungary, trở về Hà Nội, Việt Nam, sau khi tốt nghiệp ngành toán ở Đại học Őtvös Loránd của Budapest. Từ đó tới nay tôi mới trở lại trường cũ một lần, vào mùa hè năm 2008, và kỷ niệm 30 năm tốt nghiệp cùng hơn 60 bạn học và ba vị giáo sư già của khoa Toán. Năm nay, vì lý do gia đình, tôi đã bỏ lỡ buổi gặp gỡ kỷ niệm 40 năm tốt nghiệp ở Budapest, do các bạn cùng lớp tổ chức vào ngày 4 tháng 8 năm 2018.
Các clip đính kèm là một phần của dự án "Nostalgia" cá nhân sau khi nghỉ hưu của tôi. Qua các bài hát dân gian Hung và các bài hát pop Hung của thập niên 60-70, tôi muốn ôn lại những ký ức cũ của mình trên đất nước Hungary (1972-1978). Tôi hy vọng bạn bè của tôi, đặc biệt là những người từ những năm Hungary của tôi, sẽ nhận ra và cùng yêu thích. Cám ơn.

40 évvel ezelőtt, 1978 nyarán Budapestről hazatértem Hanoiba, elvégezve ELTE TTK Matek szakot. Azóta csak egyszer, 2008 nyarán, tudtam visszatérni alma materomhoz, ahol 30-éves találkozóban vettem reszt, több mint 60 évfolyamtársammal és három professzorral együtt. Idén, családi okokból, hiányoztam a budapesti 40. évfordulójátol, amelyet az évfolyamtársaim szerveztek 2018. augusztus 4-én.
A mellékelt klipek a személyes és nyugdíjba vonulás utáni "Nosztalgia" projekt részei ahol magyar népdalokkal és a 60-70-es évek régi slagerekkel próbálom előidézni Magyarországon élő évek (1972-1978 ) emlékeit. Remélem, hogy a barátaim, különösen azok akikkel együtt töltöttem ezt a szép távoli időt, ismernek és élveznek néhányat. Köszönöm.
