One of my friends - he's an Irish Canadian - asked me, what it's like working in Canada government.
- Well, I told him, can't say much because I am still new here, but one thing for sure, all of them are very well connected.
- How so? He's kind of surprised. Well-connected people don't work in the government, at least not as servant like you :)
- To be honest, one of the guy - D. Gallant - I believe cousin of our province's premier; the other one - M. LeBlanc - seems be a half-brother of the liberal candidate for upcoming election; the third one - L. Beliveau - sort of part owner of a big orchard in the neighbour town; the youngest guy - S. Buchanan - is a relative of 15th American President and I can talk about another cousin of Genevieve Bujold, the Oscar nominee film-star.
- Wow!
and then he laughed a lot
- So then how come did they hire you ?
I look at him. King of surprised myself
- Are you seriously kidding me? You know where from the First Nations came, don't you ?
Well, we all at the end, relatives of famous people and nations, share a great understanding why am I here.
