Người Việt Nam được đề cử nhận giải “Hoa Tuylip về Nhân quyền” / Vietnamese citizen nominated for the ‘Human Rights Tulip’

Giải thưởng “Human Rights Tulip” là giải thưởng Hàng năm của Hà Lan giành cho tổ chức hay nhà hoạt động nhân quyền đã xúc tiến thực thi quyền con người một cách sáng tạo. Trong 91 ứng cử viên có 10 người được tổ chức Công lý & Hòa bình đề cử. Ông Nguyễn Quang A, công dân Việt Nam là một trong mười ứng cử viên được lựa chọn vào vòng bình chọn công khai. Ông Quang A được đề cử vì đã khuyến khích công dân thực hiện quyền của mình, quyền đã được Hiến pháp Việt Nam công nhận; ông đã truyền cảm hứng cho rất nhiều người trẻ.

Mọi người có thể bình chọn cho ứng cử viên yêu thích của họ cho đến ngày 7 tháng 9, chọn ra 3 ứng cử viên xuất sắc nhất. Sau đó Bộ Ngoại giao Hà Lan sẽ lựa chọn người giành giải thưởng và tổ chức trao giải vào ngày 10 tháng 12, ngày Nhân quyền Quốc tế. The Human Rights Tulip is an annual prize to a human rights defender or organization who promotes and supports human rights in innovative ways. From amongst 91 nominees from around the world, 10 nominees were selected by the NGO Justice & Peace. Mr Nguyen Quang A, a Vietnamese citizen, is one of the 10 nominees who will participate in the public voting round. Justice & Peace selected Mr. Quang A because he encourages citizens to claim their rights, which are enshrined in the Constitution in Vietnam; and he inspires a large number of young people with his approach.

The public can now vote on their preferred candidate until 7 September, to reach a shortlist of three finalists. The Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs will then select the winner and award the Human Rights Tulip on December 10, the International Human Rights Day.
